About Pulvo

Pulvo is an AI-powered online reputation manager built for local small businesses — the corner restaurants, salons, clinics, grocers, and service shops that drive their neighborhoods' economies and have historically been underserved by enterprise-priced reputation-management tools designed for large chains.

1. Why we built this

A 1-star review on Google can cost a neighborhood business roughly 9% of revenue when ratings drop below the 4.0 threshold the algorithm appears to favor. Google rewards businesses that respond quickly and professionally to reviews — but for many owner-operators, responding professionally to every English review in real time is genuinely hard. Maybe English is not the language you handle business in most comfortably. Maybe you are running shift after shift on the floor and the laptop is in the back office. Maybe the review is sharp and you would rather compose a measured reply than fire off whatever you wrote at 11 PM.

Meanwhile the enterprise reputation tools that solve this problem for large chains start at $300–$800 per month and are built for businesses with dedicated marketing staff — not for the family-run business on the corner.

Pulvo exists to close that gap. Our AI generates clear, professional, brand-appropriate replies — and when the review is in a language different from the one the owner works in, Pulvo bridges that gap too. New negative reviews trigger immediate notifications so you can respond inside the 30-minute window that matters most. Pricing starts at $29/month so the smallest businesses can use the same caliber of tooling the chains do.

2. What we do

  • Multi-language AI replies. Pulvo supports composing and reading reviews across the languages we localize for — currently English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, and Korean. Provide your input in any supported language and Pulvo will produce a professional, on-brand response in the language the review was written in (or in the language you choose), calibrated to the review's tone and to the host platform's content policies.
  • Negative-review crisis alerts. 1- and 2-star reviews trigger immediate notifications via the channels you configure — in-product, email, and (if you opt in) SMS to your verified phone.
  • Google Business Profile integration. Pulvo syncs your reviews, publishes replies, and posts updates directly to your business profile.
  • Review-request campaigns. Send compliant SMS or email invitations to past customers asking for honest reviews, with built-in TCPA and CAN-SPAM safeguards.
  • Analytics that matter. Track rating trends, response times, language distribution, and competitor benchmarks — without dashboard overload.

3. What we do not do

Some practices are common in this industry that we have chosen explicitly not to do, because we believe an honest review ecosystem is what makes our customers' businesses worth rating well in the first place.

  • We do not generate fake reviews. Pulvo will not help you fabricate testimonials, attribute statements to customers who did not make them, manufacture sock-puppet replies, or coordinate review-bombing campaigns. Our Terms of Service make this binding (Terms §5B and §8).
  • We do not sell your data. We do not sell or share personal information for monetary consideration. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not monetize end-customer contact lists you upload (see Privacy Policy §6 and §8).
  • We do not train AI models on your content. Our AI vendors are contractually prohibited from using customer content to train their foundation models. Where vendors offer short-retention modes, we use them (Privacy Policy §5).
  • We do not bury negative reviews. Pulvo helps you respond to negative reviews; it will not help you remove truthful negative reviews through bad-faith legal threats or platform-policy abuse.

4. Trust & compliance

Pulvo is designed with the regulatory landscape that governs small-business communication and consumer data:

  • TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and 10DLC compliance is built into our messaging features — opt-out enforcement, quiet hours, frequency limits, suppression lists, and audited consent records.
  • CCPA / CPRA and state-equivalent rights are honored end-to-end: access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information (see Privacy Policy §12).
  • GDPR Article 28 processor obligations apply where Pulvo handles end-customer personal information on the Customer's behalf; a Data Processing Addendum is available on request (see Terms §11).
  • Field-level encryption at rest protects the most sensitive customer data — OAuth tokens, end-customer phone numbers, customer names, and email addresses — using Fernet (AES-128-CBC + HMAC-SHA-256) keyed to a server-side secret that is never committed to source control.

Full disclosures are in our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

5. Who we are

Pulvo is built by a small, independent team that combines product engineering, AI research, and direct experience working with local small-business owners across a range of industries and languages. We are not venture-backed at launch, which means our priorities answer to our customers, not to a growth-at-all-costs board mandate.

Founder bios and an expanded team page will be added before public launch. We will not publish marketing fluff in this space.
